SheVaCon is an educational science fiction, fantasy, and horror convention that takes place in Roanoke, Virginia annually in the early part of the year between February and March.
(Yearly dates subject to change based on Hotel availability)SheVaCon (Shenandoah Valley Convention) started many moons ago in Staunton, Virginia. Over the years it's attendance has grown, and we now reside in Roanoke due to the amount of space that we need.
It's a three day weekend event, full of all sorts of different activities and programming geared towards those who are like-minded in their love of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and everything else in between.
It's a place where you can meet your favorite Authors and Artists, perhaps a few Actors and Media guests as well... play some games (LARP, RPG, PC & Console); purchase artwork, shop for unique, beautiful, and hard to find items in the Dealer's room; attend workshops and discussion panels to learn tips on writing, publishing, painting and illustration techniques, costuming and sewing.... and so much more!
So come out and join us for a great time, and see all the fun - and learning - there is to be had!
Below is a little press kit we've put together to help give a better idea of what SheVaCon is all about.
