CostumingDeborah
Callaway Deb
Callaway has been involved in costuming most of her life for the sheer fun of
it. In college she was involved with the campus theatre in makeup and wardrobe
winning several awards. As a con going costume wearing Fen since 1989 she has
received hall costume awards at Philcon, Shore Leave and Tunnelcon. For the past
twelve years she has been involved with historical re-enactment specializing in
the Viking Age. Her camp, the Ostvik Vikings, competes at the Jamestown/Yorktown
Military Through the Ages event and has taken 1st place 3 times and 2nd place
twice in costuming over the last 7 years. Some say her crowning achievement is
the shirt of many dragons she crafted for RiKK. It took around 450 hours of hand
embroidery to complete over a two year span. Now she has become the costume maven
for ShevaCon. She's not sure yet what a maven is, but she thinks it's carnivorus.
