*Art Show Rules & Regulations*

 

All Art show exhibitors must be represented with a valid convention membership. Exhibitors may either puchase a convention membership or be represented by an agen attending the convention. Exceptions may be made for artist' works specifically requested by convention officials.

The convention must receive writtten notification prior to February 1, of that year if an artist desires to designate an individual as their agent for the duration of the convention. An artist's agen will be allowed to remove artwork at the end of the convention. However, unless it is specified in writing, the agent will not receive any funds due the artist as a result of art sales.

There is no fee to hang artwork. However there is a 10% comission charged for all artwork sold at the convention as part of the Art Show.

Mail-in art will only be accepted with return postage paid in advance and $10.00 main in membership fee. Mail in art must be received no latter than February 18 of that year.

All arwork must be based on a Science Fiction or Fanasy theme. Main stream artwork will not be accepted for inclusion in the Art Show.

All artwork must be matted and/or framed in order to hang as part of the Art Show. Exceptions will be made only for 3-dimensional artwork and tapestries.

Hanging priority will be assigned in the following order:

A. Specifically requested artworks

B.Artwork by attedning artists

C. Mail-in artwork

D. Not for sale artwork or NFS

Additional, space is assigned on a first come first displayed basis for each of the categories listed above.

Space is limited for NFS{not for sale} artwork.

All disputes concerning the Art Show will be resolved at the discrstion of the Art Directors.

Once artwork is checked into the room it must remain until the end of the convention unless prearranged with the Directors prior to check in. All Art must be checked in and out by Art Room personnel.

Please note that due to the subject matter of some art, there will be an 18+ section IF space allows. Since we all want EVERYONE to enjoy the art show. Thank for your cooperation in this matter.

We regret that we cannot pay all artist on the closing day of the convention. Payments to artist will be mailed shortly after the convention.

There will be no print shop in the art room; one copy of each print can be hung in the art room. Please talk to the Dealers room Director to ask about a dealers table or selling prints from our consignment table at a 10% commission on each print sold. Subject to space avalibilaty

All art must be able to hang on 4x4 panels unless special arrangements are made with the directors 2 months prior to the convention. 3-D art is exempt from this rule.

 

 

 

*Artist Check In*

The art show will be open 3pm to 9pm on fridayand 9am to 11am saturday for artist or agents to check in and set up. No set up after 12 noon saturday unless prearranged with art directors.

*Artist Check Out*

Artist may begin packing their work at 1:30 pm Sunday check out will begin at 1:30 and will extend till 3:30pm. Bring all bid and control sheets to the directors desk, all art must be picked up by the end of the check out unless prearranged by the directors. Any unsold art not claimed by artist or agent becomes the property of the Convention.

*Art Not Collected*

The art directors will retain any artwork legally bid for but not collected and paid for by the buyer; the art directors will make every effort to contact the buyer. To remind them of their legal obligation to pay for puchased art at the bid price collect funds due and remit to the artist. (Less the 10% commission). If we are unable to complete this with in three months time, the art will be returned to the artist.

Best Fantasy

Best Black & White

All Mail In Art, must be shipped to the address below, please ship U.P.S. or FedEx and insure your artwork against damage.

Please feel free to contact the art directors with any questions, problems, suggestions or comments. (Art directors cannot accept collect calls.) Please note that the art directors have moved this year, the new address is below.
